1. Introduction

KnoKno ("we," "our," or "us") provides an AI relationship coaching service. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application ("App").

By using KnoKno, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your email address and name from the authentication provider. You may also provide a nickname.

Conversation Data: The messages you send to KnoKno and the AI-generated replies are stored to provide the service. This includes any chat screenshots you upload for analysis.

Memory Data: Our AI automatically creates summaries of your conversations to provide personalized coaching. These memories are stored securely and are only accessible to you.

Profile Information: If you choose to share, we may store your zodiac sign, birthday, relationship information, and contacts you add to the App.

Device Information: With your permission, we collect a device token for push notifications. You can disable this at any time in your device settings.

Usage Data: We collect anonymized usage patterns (feature usage frequency, session length, marketing page views, and App Store link clicks) to improve our service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide AI relationship coaching and personalized advice
• Improve service quality and the coaching experience we provide to you
• Send push notifications (only with your consent)
• Process subscription payments
• Comply with legal obligations

We do NOT sell your personal information to third parties. We do NOT use your conversation content for advertising purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate KnoKno:

• Google Gemini API: Our AI model provider processes your messages, chat history, contact information, AI-generated memories, and uploaded screenshots to generate personalized coaching replies. Google does not use this data to train its models. Data is processed in accordance with Google's privacy policy.
• Firebase (Google): Used for push notifications and authentication. Google's privacy policy applies to data processed through Firebase services.
• Cloudflare R2: Used for image storage when you upload chat screenshots.
• RevenueCat: Used for subscription management. RevenueCat's privacy policy applies to purchase data.
• PostHog: Used for product and marketing analytics, such as feature usage, page views, and App Store link clicks. We do not send conversation content to PostHog.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. Upon account deletion:

• All conversation history, memories, and profile data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
• Aggregated and anonymized data may be retained for service improvement

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and associated data
• Opt out of push notifications
• Export your conversation history

7. Children's Privacy

KnoKno is not intended for children under 17. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 17. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or via email.
